My ceramic practice explores the relationship between form, material, and the coastal landscape, drawing direct inspiration from the Fleurieu Peninsula coastline. Through hand-built ceramic forms, I investigate the rich variety of different clays and glazes to recreate the organic textures and natural contours of detritus washed ashore. By manipulating raw materials, my work translates the fleeting, tactile qualities of beach-combed objects into permanent, sculptural vessels that honor the rugged beauty of the South Australian coast.
